Concordia recognizes Deanna Marler as Employee of the Year

OKLAHOMA CITY – Concordia Life Care Community honored its employees with an awards banquet in March at Messiah Lutheran Church in Oklahoma City, and selected five employees out of more than 130 to recognize individually. Deanna Marler was awarded Employee of the Year, a title recognizing its recipient for excellence in hospitality, professionalism, enthusiasm and respect. Creating the Wellness on Wheels Program at Concordia Life Care Community just made sense. A faith-based nonprofit, Concordia is a Life Care Retirement Community in northwest Oklahoma City offering independent living, assisted living and memory care. Love Story of Two Concordia Life Care Community Residents Featured on Local News

Two Concordia residents, Clyde and Phyllis Buchanan, shared their story on Valentine’s Day with a local ABC reporter. Clyde remembered the first time he met Phyllis in 1953 in high school — “the cute little blonde girl in a red turtleneck sweater.” Clyde and Phyllis got engaged, but called it off and married other people.
