“Starting a new chapter of life isn’t always easy—especially after walking through the challenges of caregiving. I wanted to be intentional about the next steps, not just for myself, but to create a different, more peaceful experience for my family. I moved to Concordia when I was feeling lonely at home, and that changed right away. I was immediately welcomed by new friends and a warm, friendly community. I’ve always enjoyed the outdoors and now I love relaxing on my patio or walking the community—often with neighbors who’ve become dear friends. One of the things I appreciate most is the spacious apartment; I was able to bring all my favorite furniture and truly make it feel like home. These days, I host game nights, welcome friends over and enjoy dinners with my daughter. Concordia has given me a home filled with connection, comfort and joy.”

“When we first moved to Concordia, we were hoping to find a welcoming place to call home. What we didn’t expect was just how quickly we’d feel like part of a family. It’s the kind of place where neighbors check in on each other, share laughs, and create meaningful connections.”

“When we first moved to Concordia, we were hoping to find a welcoming place to call home—a community where we could stay active, meet new people and enjoy retirement to the fullest. What we didn’t expect was just how quickly we’d feel like part of a family. From the moment we
arrived, everyone was so friendly and genuinely caring. It’s the kind of place where neighbors check in on each other, share laughs, and create meaningful connections.

Our patio home is perfect for us—and for our bossy cat, Pistol, who has definitely made himself at home, too! It’s a peaceful, comfortable space with the perfect blend of privacy and community and we truly love it.

One of our favorite parts of life at Concordia is the wellness program. The exercise classes are fun, varied, and truly something to look forward to. Chris, the Wellness Coordinator, brings so much energy and positivity—it’s impossible not to enjoy staying active!

Concordia isn’t just where we live—it’s where we belong.”

“What really makes Concordia feel like home is the sense of warmth and familiarity. I love that when I walk down the hallway, I’m greeted by name by staff who many have been here for years. It’s clear they genuinely care about the residents. It’s a place where you feel like part of a family.”

“As a resident at Concordia, I’ve found not only a home but a sense of community. My wife and I moved here together, and when the time came for her to transition to memory care, I was relieved to know she was close by. One of the things I appreciate most about living at Concordia is how seamlessly I can stay connected to her. I visit her multiple times a day, without ever having to step outside and I can even bring her to my apartment for visits. The care she receives here is exceptional and that gives me tremendous peace of mind.

There are so many ways to stay active at Concordia— I’m proud to serve on both the Residents Council and the Grounds Committee, where I help make decisions about our community and contribute to maintaining the beautiful grounds we all enjoy. As someone who loves gardening, it’s been a joy to continue cultivating plants and flowers here. There’s always something to do, whether it’s helping with a new project or trying a new workout class.
