Expanding The Kamman Chapel To Make Us Stronger Together

Watch the NEW Capital Campaign Video:

We know that when we join hands and hearts and come together to build God’s Kingdom we will be blessed for our faithful support. We are Stronger Together! We need your support now more than ever to expand Concordia’s ministries.

In 2019, Concordia launched a $3.5 million capital campaign to expand Concordia’s Kamman Chapel, named in loving memory of Rev. Harold W. Kamman. Pastor Kamman was known and cherished by many as a longtime Concordia resident, retired LCMS Pastor, Lutheran Senior Citizens, Inc. Board Member and Historian, and for his involvement and leadership with numerous ministries including the Lutheran Witness, Lutheran Church Extension Fund, and Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. His legacy will live on through the Kamman Chapel located in the heart of Concordia Life Plan Community.

In 2020, Concordia Community Foundation was formed and functions as the fundraising arm of Concordia Life Plan Community.

Specifically, Concordia’s fundraising effort will convert the existing Kamman Chapel to an independent living activities space. Building a larger and improved Kamman Chapel will more than double the current seating capacity. New construction underneath the Kamman Chapel will provide additional spaces for activities, offices, a conference room, and storage.

The campaign goal is to raise $3.5M, with an anticipated completion date of 2023-2024. When we reach the campaign goal, any additional contributions will directly benefit the Good Samaritan Fund, which gives Concordia life care residents comfort and peace of mind by providing for their care when personal funds are depleted.

Concordia Community Foundation would like to thank everyone who contributes to the campaign’s success, including those whose annual gifts help support Concordia Life Plan Community’s programs and services.
