Betty Fischer

I belong to the Concordia Chorus and another group that provides a sing along opportunity with Memory Care residents.

We sing classic songs that are familiar to them. We are blessed hearing their singing voices and seeing their smiles. When it’s time for us to leave we go out singing, “So long it’s been great to know you” WOW! What a good time for all.

The Chorus program provides music for Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, and Independent Living. We have an awesome leader and piano player- they have nerves of steel to work with people our age. We love it.

Music is therapeutic for me. If I sing I’m happy!

It is a real joy to live in a community of people who enjoy each other and are true neighbors to one another. And you know what? One of my best neighbors is my sister Faye! Her apartment happens to be right across the hall and we love that!
