Experiences, tips shared with Oklahoma caregivers during 20th annual Caregiver Survival Skills Conference

Nearly 100 caregivers from throughout the Oklahoma City metro area and beyond attended the free 20th annual Caregiver Survival Skills Conference this month.

At the conference, a diverse group of experts shared their experience, tips and resources to assist conference attendees in the work they are doing to care for their loved ones.

In Oklahoma, about 524,000 family caregivers provide 488 million hours of unpaid care, according to a 2017 AARP report.

Presenting sponsors included Areawide Aging Agency, Concordia Life Care Community, Home Instead Senior Care, Mercy Hospital and Sunbeam Family Services.
